The Cloud Backup Solution

Our managed cloud backup platform addresses the critical infrastructure needs of businesses — file storage, online backup, retention and recovery — in one secure, centrally managed and easy-to-use solution.

This is a business-class backup solution that completely eliminates the costs and complexity of purchasing and maintaining traditional onsite file servers, tape backups, FTP and VPN systems.

Backup is integrated into our business computer and network service plans. You are billed for the servers and workstations you choose to include — giving you predictable, consistent pricing and a substantial cost savings over typical solutions.

Common Causes of Data Loss

  • Ransomware & Cyberattacks

Encrypted files and locked systems can halt operations instantly. A clean, tested backup is your only reliable way out.

  • Hardware Failure

Servers and drives fail without warning. RAID is not a backup. Without offsite copies, a single failure can mean permanent data loss.

  • Natural Disasters

Floods, storms, and fires can destroy onsite infrastructure. Geographically distributed cloud backups ensure your data survives.

  • Human Error

Accidental deletions, misconfigurations, and overwrites are the most common cause of data loss. Versioned backups let you roll back.

What Is Business Continuity?

Business continuity refers to an organization's ability to ensure that operations and core business processes remain up and running in the event of a natural disaster, cyberattack, or unplanned outage.

Business continuity plans usually include the following objectives:

  • Restoring normal business operations within a certain period of time
  • Defining an acceptable amount of data loss
  • Communicating with stakeholders during and after critical events

A variety of different events can cause business disruptions, from small power outages to hardware breakdowns. While you can't be ready for everything, business continuity plans and software help us protect customers from the most common disasters and situations.

Critical for M365 Users

Your Microsoft 365 Data Isn't Backed Up

As businesses adopt SaaS applications and shift resources to the cloud, Microsoft Office 365 is quickly becoming standard. Cloud-based software can potentially help save you from the hassles of managing application servers, but it can also lead to a false sense of security if you assume Office 365 will handle all your data retention and recovery needs.

Protection Against Data Loss

Users can often unwittingly (or purposely) delete important emails, or OneDrive or SharePoint files. If this happens, Office 365 Backup offers the ability to quickly search for and recover what you need.

Access to Email for Ex-Employees

If employees leave and you don't want to continue paying a subscription fee simply to store their email and shared documents, Backup for Office 365 offers an additional way to retain and access this data.

Support for Compliance

If you are responsible for an organization that falls under regulations with data-retention requirements, Office 365 Backup is designed to help you retain and archive critical data.

Point-in-Time Restore

Exchange mailboxes are automatically backed up up to six times a day, and OneDrive and SharePoint accounts up to four times a day, giving you multiple daily restore points. Choose the one you want and recover fast.

Automation

Microsoft 365 Backup helps you strike the right balance between automation and control. You can manually select which accounts and mailboxes you want to protect, or automatically add newly created 365 accounts to the backup schedule.

Fully Managed

With Backup for Microsoft 365, PremierePC will manage your Office 365 Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint backups from a single web-based dashboard. See and manage backup status across all your users, and many device and data types.

365 Backup Storage Policy

  • Backup for Office 365 is licensed per unique user, whether that license is being used to protect an Exchange mailbox, a OneDrive account, a SharePoint site, or any combination of these three.
  • Each user license adds 1 TB to the included usage pool.
  • Available usage is pooled within a protected Office 365 tenant only, and this is a separate pool from server, workstation or documents available storage.

1

Assess

We audit your current environment to identify critical data, applications, and acceptable recovery timeframes.

2

Design

We build a backup strategy with defined RPO and RTO targets — how much data you can lose, and how fast you need to be back.

3

Deploy

We configure automated backups, set retention policies, and verify initial backup jobs complete successfully.

4

Test & Monitor

We perform periodic test restores and monitor backup health daily so you're never surprised when disaster strikes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the unlimited cloud backup storage?

Every backup license includes unlimited cloud storage. You pay per device — not per gigabyte. Workstations, physical servers, and virtual servers are all covered with no surprise storage charges or overage fees.

How often are backups performed?

Our standard workstation deployment scans all user files and folders every 4 hours with 60 revisions retained. Servers receive a nightly image backup by default. Additional schedules can be added at no extra cost. Microsoft 365 Exchange mailboxes are backed up up to six times a day, and OneDrive/SharePoint up to four times a day.

Do you monitor backup jobs?

Yes. PremierePC conducts human reviews daily to ensure your critical backup jobs are working. Automated monitoring catches issues in real time, but our technicians review every job to catch what automation misses. When errors are detected, our team takes action immediately.

What happens if I need to recover data?

We offer multiple recovery options: bare-metal recovery to restore an entire system, file-level recovery to get back specific files, and standby image recovery for rapid failover. Our automated recovery testing verifies that your backups are actually restorable — not just completing without errors.

Is Microsoft 365 data already backed up by Microsoft?

No. Microsoft provides infrastructure uptime but does not guarantee your data. Accidental deletions, ransomware, and departing employees can all result in permanent data loss. Our M365 backup protects Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive, and SharePoint with multiple daily restore points and unlimited storage per user.

How does BDR pricing work with your managed IT plans?

Backup is available as an add-on to any ProSupport plan. ProSupport Cyber+ clients get discounted workstation backup rates ($9/mo vs $14/mo) and Microsoft 365 backup included at no extra charge. Server backup is required for all managed servers regardless of plan tier.
